From Mike -
Today was probably the worst Monday I have ever suffered through in my tenure of stumbling across the face of this rock! My day sucked from the opening of my eyes this morning, and it didn't get any better until I got to school this evening. (And I was late, due to the rain and the indescribably heavy traffic.) This day was messed up until it was over!
Now, I got to work this morning at the auto parts store, and upon walking through the doors, I was immediately hit with 20 questions about some tires I had ordered, or allegedly ordered for a customer on Saturday. No problem! I'll just go to my book, the book I write every order into so that I can keep track of things!
Ha!
Well, it seems as though Saturday's page had been ripped out of my notebook, it simply was not there! I assume it was thrown away.
I also have a pretty good idea of who is doing this to me, a co-worker who does not like me very much...
He is the same guy who told our bookkeeper that I was off into accounts receivable, when I never was, but I sure as hell got admonished for that! Hmmm...
Our bookkeeper would not identify my accuser to me, which really pissed me off, but I know who the cat is.
That was the first big screw-up of the day!
Along about 11:00 this morning, I got a call from the kitchen manager at my other job saying that she had a complaint from one of her cooks, that I was rude to her Saturday night. WTF?
I firmly explained to her that I am not normally rude to anyone, particularly ladies. She would not give me any type of detail into the egregious offense!
So now, I have an open-ended complaint against my sorry ass, by some chick who will not even confront me on the issue. Great!
I'll bet you we get it hashed out tomorrow night, because I will see her then! She wants to throw stones, let's just see who is left standing!
I've about had my fill of working with some women, and woman-like, nutless dudes who try to step on me for what they perceive as their own getting ahead! I don't need this, I work for minimum wage! You gotta be bullshitting me!
But, the point of my letter is that throughout all my personal sufferings, I observed that every person around me was having the same bad day!
How was your day, today?
Check it out! My boss was absolutely over-run by his customers today. He couldn't answer the phone fast enough, everybody wanted to talk to him.
One of our office workers, who occasionally makes deliveries, wound up at the wrong dealership, and she got an ass-chewing for that! I felt so sorry for her!
Two of my fellow countermen could just not seem to get it right, and there was much conflict and bitching and in-fighting today!
And then, I almost wrecked my truck, and then I had to suffer the waiting in line to get through traffic...yadayadayada!
But, one thing I have noticed, is that when I am having a bad day, all I have to do is look around me, and I can see that everyone else is having the same bad day!
Have y'all ever noticed that? Please confirm or challenge my observation. Thank you!
